Welcome! Thank you for visiting my online portfolio. You'll notice my background is in video production, but I have built a strong writing portfolio that includes print and web samples.
I received a bachelor of arts in broadcast journalism from The University of Texas-Pan American in 2009. After graduating, I became the multimedia specialist for South Texas College in McAllen, Texas. After three years at STC, I moved nearly 10 hours away from home to start my first year at The Frank W. and Sue Mayborn Graduate Institute of Journalism at The University of North Texas. I graduated with a master of journalism in May 2015.
After working at STC and Dallas ISD, I learned how much I enjoy working in communications within education. School has always been important to me, and the opportunity to share stories about student success and effective programs in schools is rewarding. However, I welcome opportunities in other industries as I continue to grow in the communications field.
When my life isn't revolving around academics, I enjoy traveling, baking, crafting and spending time with my dog Cooper.
