"Explore Your Future in Nursing"
South Texas College
This campaign was one of the earliest projects I worked on at South Texas College. Prior to me joining the STC family, the institution's public relations and marketing department outsourced a local production company to create its commercials. After I joined the team, we independently produced our own promotional material. We ultimately received multiple awards for this campaign, including a silver American Advertising Federation ADDY award in the Television Local TV category. I was responsible for storyboarding, production, and editing.
8th Annual College Summit
South Texas College
Partnering with Entravision Communications television station Fox Rio 2 and Univision KNVO 48, STC produced monthly video news stories for their English and Spanish morning shows. Specifically, I was responsible for filming, interviewing, writing, editing, the two-and-a-half minute English and Spanish news stories that were distributed to the two stations.
STC Pharr Police Academy Graduation
South Texas College
In celebration of the first graduating class of the South Texas College Pharr Police Academy, STC invited the new officers' families to a dinner recognition ceremony where they witnessed their loved ones receive their badges. This was another news story that aired on Fox Rio 2 and Univision KNVO 48. I was responsible for filming, interviewing, writing, editing, and distributing media to the two stations. This story earned a gold National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) medallion in the Television Advertisement/PSA Series category.
On the Road with The Young Maths
Rio Grande Valley band The Young Maths embarked on an East Coast tour during the winter of 2010. They played 25 shows in 30 days. STC asked them to document their experience before meeting with them in Austin and San Marcos, Texas. The band talks about being on tour while simultaneously juggling college obligations.
"A Degree at South Texas College"
South Texas College
This commercial campaign centered on the importance of a college degree at STC. We used actual STC alumni as talent for the spot. This commercial earned a silver National Council for Marketing and Public Relations medallion in the Television Advertisement/PSA Single category. I was responsible for pitching the story idea, storyboarding, recruiting talent, production and editing.
